Wipes innovation to be honored at WOW conference.

Nominations are now being accepted for participation in the inaugural Wipes Innovation Now (WIN) Award being held as part of the second annual World of Wipes (WOW) Conference, June 16-18, 2008 at The Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel in Chicago. The WIN Award is designed to recognize and reward the best new wipe innovations introduced in the past year. Innovations from all links in the supply chain, including finished wipes, substrates, raw materials, lotions, packaging and converting, are eligible for consideration. The WOW Conference, organized by INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, is devoted solely to wipes, with a concentration on substrates, active ingredients, packaging, market metrics, industry challenges and emerging market opportunities. The inaugural event in 2007 in Atlanta drew more than 200 attendees. “The purpose of WIN is to highlight innovative products, processes and technologies that are driving the global wipes business in 2008,” says Rob Johnson, chair of the WOW Committee. “The WIN program will further recognize the ‘best of the best’ and the recipient will be chosen by the people who know these innovations the best – attendees at WOW.” To nominate a wipe innovation, companies should send INDA a 25-word abstract describing the innovation to be considered. Companies may nominate their own innovations. The WOW Committee will select eight highly innovative products as the finalists and those nominees will make presentations on their innovations during the WOW Conference. The nominated innovations will also be showcased at the tabletop receptions during the conference and WOW attendees will then vote on the recipient of the 2008 WIN Award. The recipient of the WIN 2008 award will be announced during a session on the final morning of WOW.
